CATHERINE LENTHEN IS A VOLUNTEER MEMBER AT GLENORIE RURAL FIRE BRIGADE

In her spare time, Catherine has been training for the last 8 months in preparation for her BF assessment at the RFS. In April 2024, she completed her BF assessments and is now an active volunteer firefighter and member at her local brigade, Glenorie Rural Fire Brigade.

Catherine is all about people. She is a giver and she could not think of a better way to give back to her local community, than becoming a volunteer member at GRFB. She is 100% dedicated to her brigade family at Glenorie and is learning new skills every day. She wears her uniform with immense respect for the RFS and is delighted to be serving and helping keep her local community safe.

Ride a Day In my Wheels

Studio ARTES has been holding Ride a Day in my Wheels as a fun way to celebrate and raise awareness for International Day of People with Disability. Studio ARTES member Mr Oliver House created Ride a Day in my Wheels as a way to increase public awareness of what it is like to be in a wheelchair. Ride a Day in my Wheels is a challenge day for riders to fulfil a list of physical and mental tasks to help everyone look at life from a different perspective.

$4,364 Raised In One Week

Catherine Lenthen raised $4,364 in merely one week for Studio ARTES. Catherine participated in the course challenge at Hornsby Mall and absolutely loved the energy, compassion, and camaraderie of the members and supporters of Studio ARTES. The day brings together local groups, disability service providers, and residents in the local community to experience the life of a person living with a disability.

Devastating News for Studio ARTES

At the Jersey Street Hornsby Studio ARTES, a raging fire tore through the pool shop next-door as well as neighbouring businesses. The fire caused extensive damage, everything has been ruined and tragically, all the treasured artworks that the very talented artists have dedicated so many hours on are now just wilting away, never to be seen again. Any assistance you are able to provide will be graciously accepted.

Thank you to all the lovely people who came in to Westfiled Hornsby in support of Studio ARTES.

A big thank you to Matt who has generously donated his MacBook Pro, two large workbenches, a fridge, a two seated couch plus a six seated dining table. Studio ARTES will get so much use out of these items.

Thank you to Nicole who has donated some crafts and a sewing machine and thank you to Kristy who has kindly donated loads of arts and craft supplies.

Also a big thank to the sweetest lady Tegan who bought a beautiful artwork from Emily Crockford’s love heart collection.
